Japanese scientists confirm COVID shots linked to fatal heart failure

Summarised by Centrist

A team of Japanese scientists led by Dr Hiroyuki Yamamoto from Narita-Tomisato Tokushukai Hospital has utilised a specialised biopsy technique to definitively link COVID mRNA vaccines to a surge in heart failure cases worldwide.

Yamamoto’s team discovered evidence of vaccine-associated myocarditis (VAM). They warn that VAM, if left untreated, can be fatal, acting as a ticking time bomb often only revealed during a cardiac arrest.

In their case study, they examined a 78-year-old woman who experienced severe heart symptoms 11 days after receiving her third (Moderna) COVID shot .

There was no history of coronary artery disease; a biopsy confirmed the heart failure was vaccine-induced.

This technique proved crucial in diagnosing and successfully treating the patient with corticosteroids, saving her life.

The study, published in ESC Heart Failure, marks the first biopsy-proven case of vaccine-induced dilated cardiomyopathy (iDCM) following mRNA vaccination.

A separate study by the University of Hong Kong also indicates that mRNA injections increase the risk of myocarditis, particularly in children and young people.
