Rosie Morunga sentenced to 18 months for multiple assaults and theft

Rosie Morunga, a “person of interest” in the Baby Ru investigation, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison on unrelated charges. Morunga faced charges including four assaults, one involving a journalist whom she punched and robbed outside the Hutt Valley District Court. Judge Nicola Wills noted that Morunga was guilty of 18 charges, including stealing $1200 worth of clothes. Morunga called out, “I love you, I’m going to jail for 18 months” before being taken into custody.
