And that’s if they can find an insurer in the first place! 

Aside from the general increase in the cost of living, there’s expensive features, upgrades and a high cost of repair for electric vehicles, which is having a knock on effect on premiums. 

Electric vehicles also take longer to repair than their diesel counterparts and the industry as a whole suffers a shortage of qualified technicians to work on them.
