Experts call for legalisation of all drugs in NZ, citing failed prohibition

More than 150 experts in drug policy and criminology have signed an open letter urging the New Zealand government to legalize all drugs. The Harm Reduction Coalition Aotearoa (HRCA) presented the letter, highlighting the failures of drug prohibition and advocating for a new approach that prioritizes health and human rights. The letter calls for the rescinding of prohibitionist drug laws and the implementation of a new Psychoactive Drugs Act to regulate the supply of all psychoactive drugs.
